Message from the minister

Judith Maizel-Long

Welcome to the website of Billericay Methodist Church. We operate from two sites in Billericay, Queens Park and Western Road, which are both centres for worship and service.

Worship is offered in a variety of styles to meet the needs of our culturally eclectic town. Service is our response to God’s love for us, in meeting the needs of individuals and groups.

Through worship, we learn about God, cast our cares upon God, and receive inspiration for our daily life and through service, we are living out God’s love in Billericay for people who may or may not be Christians.

What we offer you is a welcome to a caring extended church family, who share:
the values of the Christian tradition
a positive message of hope
respect for every person.

In this age of spiritual searching, we travel with those who want to explore the riches of what Christianity has to offer.
We invite you to browse our website, and you are especially welcome if you are a newcomer or visitor to Billericay and are looking for a church at which to worship.

We hope to demonstrate that we have something to offer you. The Methodist Church is an inclusive church, regardless of age, gender, race, sexuality or marital status.
If you can get to Billericay, please join us on this coming Sunday. We shall make you most welcome.

If you have more questions about the Methodist Church, see www.methodist.org.uk. If you have more questions about Jesus and Christianity, see www.rejesus.co.uk

Births, marriages and deaths

Baptisms, marriages and funerals are the rites of passage that mark the most important events in life. Our minister will help you seek God's blessing and celebrate a new phase in life or life's passing, whether it is to be held at our church or at another appropriate location of your own choosing.

For baptism or marriage, the minister will meet with you beforehand to discuss the meaning of these sacraments and what you will be promising for yourself (and for your child in the case of infant baptism) before God.
